Voices inside Schering-Plough?

The following are today's comments on Carrie's $24 million stock selling bonanza last year, prior to the release of devastating ENHANCE trial data. Comments are supposedly from inside Schering, written on a Schering message board, but they are anonymous, so take it for what it is (comments have not been censored and do not adhere to BrandweekNRX language standards):

1. "Today, I got my f-n brains beat out by my customers. Most say that it is the media and the patients that will cause our demise. I think that it is realistic to expect a reduction of at least 20%-30% of our field force (based on the fact that Vytorin and Zetia combined account for about 30% of our overall sales)."

2. "All, The worst is yet to come. Check out CBS News online for breaking news about Carrie Cox. We're headed downhill with no breaks!"

3. "Fred, Please get rid of her asap. She's pulling us down the commode with her. That is, unless she's been your main squeeze for too long and you can't bear the thought of losing her!

4. "If he was smart, he would insist on CC's resignation - like now."

5. "She has disgraced the company. The problem is that if Fred got rid of the crooks, he wouldn't have an executive board. Is he really that clueless about what his people are doing?"

6. "Don't kid yourself. Carrie knew as did the rest of the "leaders" of the company!! I was there when she was told. They were on top of everything and knew there was trouble back in the middle of 2006. They just waited for the stock to peak and then went in for the kill. Nice leadership!"

7. "Carrie knew. I know she knew because it was reported to her while I was there. So did Cheeley, Saunders, Sabatino and Koestler. Look on the Yahoo financial website. It's all there! If Yahoo knows, you can bet that the SEC, Congress and the FDA know. I wonder how many family members and friends they told to dump the stock in the Spring of 2007. Only time will tell. This is going to be huge!!!!"

8. "It is sad that this lady now will not be worried about the sales force or what is going on with the industry b/c she has to worry about her own ass. She should be put on leave until further notice... unpaid."

Let's emphasize that BrandweekNRX has no idea what Carrie Cox knew, if she knew and when she knew. That will be left to others to sort out. Others, however, supposedly within Schering, appear to have already made up their mind.
