Sylvester Stallone was convicted in May 2007 for importing the Chinese knock-off human growth hormone product Jintropin into Australia.
Stallone was arrested after 48 vials of Jintropin - which is banned under the Australian Customs Act - were found in his personal luggage at Sydney Airport.
In a typed apology to the court, Stallone wrote: "I made a terrible mistake. I have never supported the use of illegal drugs or engaged in any illegal activities in my entire life. I wish to express my deepest remorse and again apologise for my actions."
But now he's singing a different tune.
He told Time magazine for the February 4 issue: "Human growth hormone helped me to get up to 209lbs for the new Rambo movie, which is 40lbs heavier than I was for the last one 20 years ago.
"Human growth hormone is nothing. Anyone who calls it a steroid is grossly misinformed."
That is, of course true, HGH is not a steroid. But there is more from Stallone:
"Testosterone to me is important for a sense of well-being when you get older. Everyone over 40 years old would be wise to investigate it because it increases your quality of life.
"Mark my words, in 10 years it will be available over the counter."
So what does testosterone do in both men and women?
Testosterone increases sexual desire and is used when there is a proble in that area. So are we to understand that Rambo has a hard time satisfying the ladies without taking testosterone?

I agree that Hgh is not a steroid and has many benefits that steroids do not like anti aging properties

here is a lot of controversy these days about human growth hormone. Some of it legitimate and some of it not. Most of what the public hears is about whether or not Roger Clemens used HGH while playing baseball. There is also the secondary noise about Andy Pettitte and Rick Ankiel. Did Bud Selig and Andy Fehr facilitate this mess? Can Major League Baseball survive? Oh, entering on to the scene is that great trendsetter, the United States House of Representatives. Now there are 435 people who really need performance enhancement! Once again Henry ( Steal OUR Vitamins ) Waxman comes rushing to the rescue.
