According to a report on CBS New, the U.S. Airforce tried to develop a bomb filled with an aphrodisiac, to negatively impact enemy combatants, and if possible, make them "sexually irresistable to each other."
CBS News calls it the "Gay Bomb."
The weapons proposal says, "One distasteful but completely non-lethal example would be strong aphrodisiacs, especially if the chemical also caused homosexual behavior."
This sounds like a joke, but is apparently for real.
The proposal was made in 1994 and comes on the heels of disclosures that the CIA worked with drug companies, who turned over drugs that couldn't be used because of severe side effects. These events are described in my corporate thriller, Killer Drug.
