A couple of bloggers appear to have some major concerns with the fact that BrandweekNRX is doing quite well and they are spending post after post trying to generate attention for themselves by writing about how much they hate what is covered on this blog.
Today a post from Mr. Mack started this way, "Peter Rost is continuing to burn up NRx's bandwidth with off-topic posts and shameless self-promotion. Other bloggers than myself, including Pharm Aid, are getting fed up with it."
Interesting thing is, these two bloggers keep coming back to BrandweekNRX for more material, so we feel almost honored by this intense attention.
Here is one example the wisdom Mr. Mack finds important to impart to the world, about a BrandweekNRX post this week:
"Rost himself continues to "interview" bloggers in this space -- preceded, of course, with a grandiose announcement. His latest interview is with "Jack Friday," aka Insider, at PharmaGossip (see "THE MAN BEHIND PHARMAGOSSIP").
"Jack Friday is a British male, in his 50s, and he has spent his career in the pharma industry," says Rost. "In fact, he’s worked for both Schering-Plough and GlaxoSmithKline, and he still makes his living working for the drug industry."
Boring! Tell us something we all don't already know!"
Med Ad News (below) writes that "Their prickly, sometimes acrimonious exchanges are definitely colorful and often entertaining in a car-crash sort of way."
But all good things should come to an end, hence, we'll simply end the Mack saga with the following comments from Med Ad News:

We also note the following post: Rost Watch, Week 2: BrandweekNRX soars from #164 to #130 on the Healthcare 100. Cary Byrd over at e-drugSerchBlog.com writes that, "Only two weeks into our Rost Watch and PeterNRX is already kicking some serious butt. The buzz factor has lifted Peter’s BrandweekNRX to #130 (and his Question Authority blog up another notch to #38.)"
We can only assume that this drives people who can't resist reading BrandweekNRX, in spite of the fact that they hate every word, more nuts than they already are.
- Peter Rost, M.D. is a former VP of Pfizer and the author of Killer Drug and The Whistleblower.

People also can't resist looking at a car wreck as they pass by! Eventually, if they see enough car wrecks, they'll stop rubber-necking and drive on.

Nice job, Peter! Mack's a self-important blowhard who could use a bit of cage-rattling.
Welcome to the blogosphere and consider yourself bookmarked ;-)
