BrandweekNRX gets a new writer . . .

Jimedwards1_1Jim Edwards has been writing the BrandweekNRX blog since it was started in January 2007. And he spent three years at Brandweek magazine.

Based on his achievments, Jim has been accepted for the prestigious Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in economics and business journalism by Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism for the 2007-2008 academic year.

They only accept ten top journalists every year, and this year's class include journalists from The Wall Street Journal, Denver Post, Time, Forbes, PBS and Barron’s. And Jim from Brandweek.

JimnowDuring the time Jim has written BrandweekNRX this blog has achieved great readership numbers, and Jim has undergone an amazing transformation . . .

At least on this blog.

Seriously, after such a great job, Jim deserves a tiny roast as he leaves.

And now it is my turn to assist Brandweek with the BrandweekNRX blog, for a while.

Author_rost_blue21I'm Peter Rost, and Fortune magazine has kindly called me "the drug industry's most annoying - and effective - online scourge."

I've also spent almost twenty years marketing drugs, and my last job was as vice president of marketing for Pfizer. After I left Pfizer my book "The Whistleblower, Confessions of a Healthcare Hitman" was published. But you probably already knew that.

My objective is to continue in Jim's footsteps and to write a provocative, entertaining and informative blog for BrandweekNRX.
