The pupose of exposing the premarketing was to stop Pfizer's HIV division from a practice of blatant disregard for the law. My posting was never going to stop miraviroc from approval it was meant only to make Pfizer aware of the practices of the HIV division and to make sure they did not continue after the launch. Much of what has been written by DR Rost is but a small piece of what goes on in the HIV division with what is best characterized as whatever it takes to make the sale. I am happy the drug is going to get approved and perhaps help many with HIV I am just not so sure ignoring the protocols put in place to protect research and ultimately the patient is a good thing. I wish you all the best you were one of the first bloggers I came across last November on Cafe Pharma when Pfizer was downsizing...
