A recent note from Bear Stearns' John Boris gives the following:
Lyrica (epilepsy / neuropathic pain) looking good. NRx's at 85,307; TRx's at 146,474. Drug is on schedule to meet its $1 billion "US run rate" (I'm assuming this means annual sales? Correct me if I'm wrong at jedwards@brandweek.com) forecast.
Chantix (smoking cessation) looking even better. NRx's at 118,928, TRX's at 135,335. $390 million estimate now looks "conservative," Boris sez. Plus "PFE's unbranded Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) campaign in the US is supporting uptake of the brand." Finally something going right at Pfizer!
Exubera (diabetes) still awful. NRX's at 958, TRX's at 1,351. "The Exubera (inhaled insulin) trajectory is below expectations," Boris says, understating the matter considerably (see here and here). Thinks DTC will hit in the second half of 2007.

Jim, The new anti smoking drug. Do you have specific information about when it hit the US? I have not seen it yet. Do you have an URL for its molecules. Thanks in advance.

Generic Xenical (ORLISTAT) is a slimming tablet for those who are obese and who find it hard to lose weight although on a diet. If Xenical is used with a healthy diet and exercise it has shown to help patients lose weight. http://www.caldrugs.com/pill/Xenical.html
Acomplia is used complementary to diet and exercise to treat obese or overweight patients who suffer from Type 2 diabetes and abnormal levels of fat in the blood. Sanofi argues that Acomplia can also prevent the risk of cardiovascular disease. http://www.caldrugs.com/pill/Acomplia.html
